Alex Reed received his Masters of Social Work degree from
Kansas University in 2003, and is licensed by the state of
Missouri as a Clinical Social Worker. He utilizes the Strengths
Perspective, Solution Focused, Goal Oriented approaches in
providing therapeutic intervention to assist clients in maximizing their potential and emotional growth and development.
Alex addresses a broad range of DSM-IV diagnoses to include mood disorders, ADHD, depression, PTSD, stress, anger management and others. Alex also is a personal growth trainer for Focus Seminars of Kansas City; and Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator and Seminar Director, a strengths based relationship program designed to help couples identify strengths and growth areas and learn relationship skills to maximize their potential and effectiveness in their relationship.
Currently in his private practice, Alex provides Individual, Family, Parenting Education, Relational and Couples therapies, serving children and adults.
Alex has spent time facilitating personal growth seminars and developing and directing various school-based programs, teaching and coaching sports.
Alex’ philosophy of total wellness includes spiritual, emotional, social and physical health.
Alex considers his most important role to be a husband to a beautiful and strong wife and father to 6 wonderful children.
